The Academy for Arts and Cultural Education (AHKCO) has three disciplines: Beeldende Kunsten / Visual Arts, Journalistiek / Journalism and Sociaalcultureel Vormingswerk / Education for Social Workers. The AHKCO overall objective is to educate people to be able to work as an expert at Bachelor’s level in the field of art, journalism and social work.
The study Visual Arts focuses on developing the visual, creative and communicative abilities. Students are encouraged to take initiatives, adopt an innovative approach and to show artistic commitment. After the study they can function as a professional and artistic skilled designer in autonomous (fine arts) or applied arts (graphic design).

The Advanced Teachers Training Institute (IOL) trains students to become teachers that are innovative, flexible, respectful and above all creative. During the Training Visual Arts Education students are introduced to the use of different materials and techniques. The students learn to use these materials and techniques in their own visual arts work. The curriculum offers: basic drawing, painting, sculpture, textile processing and editing.

The Nola Hatterman Art Academy (NHAA) offers a four year education, either during daytime or in the evening hours, to become a professional artist in the field of visual arts and design. Minimum age for admittance is 17 years. Previous education is not taken into account; talent is decisive. Lessons are given in: graphic design, drawing (realistic), painting, spatial work (For instance ceramics, sculpting, woodcarving and installations), theory, mixed media, audio-visual (video art).
Other activities of the NHAA are an Orientation Course and the Nola Hatterman Youth Academy (for young people between six and sixteen years).

- Dance (Classical Javanese/Balinese, Modern Javanese/Balinese and Contemporary dance)
- Pencak Silat (Indonesian Martial Arts style)
- Gamelan (a set of instruments which form a musical ensemble, from Indonesia, featuring a variety of instruments)
